The people who die alone with no one to mourn them

Posted on 6 September 2020

Our Research Director, Janet Bishop (Scotland) took part in a Radio Scotland broadcast this morning. The subject was People who die Alone, which is of particular relevance to GenealogyUK®- however Janet's participation was on a personal level, as she was "found" by an heir-hunting company, and appointed Executor Dative to her late mother's cousin, who died last year in Edinburgh, with no will, having told his friends and neighbours that he had no family .. all too common a scenario ...

The radio broadcast is available for the next month on the BBC website at https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000mbty starting at 1:30:35, Janet's piece is at 1:41:15
